Overview

What a proper network installation includes

A proper network installation fixes problems most people blame on their internet. Most problems we see in offices are not caused by the internet provider. They come from unlabelled cables, home routers trying to cover the whole space and a flat network where computers, cameras and guests all sit together. A proper network starts with a survey, not with buying equipment.

We handle the whole job: structured cabling, rack and patch panel, managed switches, VLAN separation, access points, firewall and VPN. We work with Ubiquiti UniFi, MikroTik and TP-Link Omada equipment, depending on your size and budget. At the end we hand over a network diagram, a port list and the admin passwords.

The service

What's included

Structured cabling

We run Cat6 or Cat6A cables through trunking or suspended ceilings, with network sockets at every workstation. Every line is numbered and tested with a cable tester before handover.

Rack and patch panel

We organise your equipment in a wall-mounted or floor-standing rack, with a patch panel, cable managers and a UPS. When something needs changing, you find the right port in seconds.

Managed switches and PoE

We install managed switches that support VLANs and port monitoring. With PoE, access points, cameras and VoIP phones get power over the same cable.

VLAN separation

We split the network into separate segments: staff, guests, cameras, printers and IoT devices. This way an infected guest laptop cannot see your server.

Business Wi-Fi

We install ceiling access points with central management and roaming between rooms. We set channels and power so they do not interfere with each other.

Firewall and VPN

We set up a firewall with rules per VLAN and VPN for people who work from home. We connect branches with site-to-site VPN and, if you want, a second internet line for failover.

Wi-Fi coverage study

A coverage survey before the first access point goes up

We measure the signal (RSSI) in every room and note walls, metal shelving and sources of interference. Based on the coverage map we decide how many access points you need and where, so you do not pay for equipment you do not need.

How many access points?
Good signal coverage–Points on the floor plan with signal better than −70 dBm. Every wall weakens the signal.

Indicative simulation. In a real survey we take measurements on site before installing any equipment.

Areas

Network installation on site across Attica

We install networks in offices, shops, warehouses and business premises across Attica. We come to central Athens, Piraeus, Marousi, Kifisia, Chalandri, Glyfada, Mesogeia and Thriasio, and the areas around them.

Each area has its own needs. In the centre and in Piraeus we often find older buildings and shipping offices where cabling has to be run discreetly. In Marousi and Kifisia, corporate offices with many desks and meeting rooms. In Glyfada, shops and restaurants with Wi-Fi for customers. In Thriasio and Mesogeia, warehouses and logistics sites where Wi-Fi has to cover large spaces.

After installation, network management, changes and monitoring are handled remotely from anywhere in Greece. For businesses with branches we link every site with VPN, and where there is no good line we can add Starlink as the main or backup connection.

How we work

How the network installation works, step by step

  1. Site visit and needs

We visit your premises and record workstations, devices and existing equipment. We discuss what you will need in the coming years too.

  2. Plan and quote

We prepare a plan with cable routes and the positions of the rack and access points. The quote lists equipment and labour separately.

  3. Cabling and equipment

We run the cables, build the rack and install switches and access points. Where possible, we work outside business hours so your work does not stop.

  4. Configuration and security

We create VLANs, firewall rules, Wi-Fi networks and VPN accounts. We change all factory default passwords.

  5. Testing and measurements

We test every socket, measure Wi-Fi in every room and test failover. We fix anything that falls short before handover.

  6. Handover and documentation

We give you a network diagram, a port list and the admin passwords. We show your staff the basics, such as connecting guests.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need cabling if I already have Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi is convenient, but fixed workstations, printers, cameras and access points work better on a cable. Also, every access point needs a cable to perform well. We usually recommend a combination of the two.
Cat6 or Cat6A?
Cat6 easily covers most office needs. Cat6A is more expensive and thicker, but supports 10 Gbps over longer distances. We recommend it when the building will be in use for many years or when newer access points need higher speeds.
Why should I split my network into VLANs?
If all devices sit on the same network, an infected guest phone or a camera with old software can reach your computers. With VLANs and firewall rules, each group of devices only sees what it needs. Troubleshooting also becomes easier.
Can you reuse the equipment I already have?
Yes, if it is in good condition and still supported by the manufacturer. During the site visit we check what can stay and what needs replacing. We do not recommend new equipment without a reason.
Will my business have to stop during the installation?
We schedule the work to keep disruption to a minimum. Cabling can be done while you work, and the final switch to the new network usually happens in the evening or at the weekend.
Can I have a second internet line in case of a fault?
Yes. We connect a second line, for example from another provider, 4G/5G or Starlink, to a router that does automatic failover. If the main line goes down, traffic moves to the second one without you having to do anything.
What do I get at the end of the job?
A network diagram, a list mapping sockets to ports, the equipment settings and all admin passwords. The documentation belongs to you, so you do not depend on anyone.
Do you also maintain the network afterwards?
Yes, through our IT support service. We monitor the equipment, update firmware and make changes when users or rooms are added.
How much does a network installation cost for an office?
The cost depends mainly on the number of network points, the distances and how cables are routed (suspended ceiling, trunking, floor), the choice of Cat6 or Cat6A, the rack size, the number of PoE switches and access points, and whether a firewall is needed. If the work has to happen outside business hours, we factor that in. After a free site visit we send you a detailed written quote.
How long does a network installation take?
It depends on the size of the space and whether cabling starts from scratch. A small office with a few desks is usually done quickly, while a full floor with many desks, a rack and access points takes more days. We state the exact timing in the quote, together with when the switchover will happen.
How many access points does my office need?
Floor area is not the only factor. Walls and their materials, floors, the number of users and the devices connected at the same time all matter. In the coverage survey we place access points so every room has signal and capacity, without unnecessary units.
Mesh or ceiling access points for a business?
Mesh is a good fit where cable cannot be run, for example in a home or a small space. For businesses we prefer cabled ceiling access points on PoE, because they give steadier speeds, better roaming and central management.
Can I have separate Wi-Fi for guests?
Yes, and we recommend it for every business. Guest Wi-Fi goes on its own VLAN with internet-only access and, if you like, a speed limit. Your customers connect easily without seeing computers, printers or cameras.
Do I need fibre inside the building?
Cat6/Cat6A copper cable is limited to about 100 metres per run. When racks on different floors or buildings are further apart, or you need very high speeds between them, we use fibre. For desks, copper is enough.
Which areas do you cover for network installation?
We carry out network installations on site across Attica, from central Athens and Piraeus to Marousi, Kifisia, Glyfada, Mesogeia and Thriasio. For businesses outside Attica we agree the schedule in advance, and ongoing network management is handled remotely.
