Overview

Why maintenance costs less than a breakdown

Most faults give warning signs before they happen: a drive with rising SMART errors, a fan full of dust, a UPS battery that no longer holds a charge. With regular checks we spot them early and replace the part at a time that suits you.

We maintain desktop computers, laptops, servers, NAS devices, printers, UPS units, switches, routers and access points. We work with equipment from Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, MikroTik, TP-Link and other manufacturers, and we keep a history for every device.

The service

What's included

Diagnostics and repair

We check drives, memory, temperatures and power with diagnostic tools. We replace the faulty part rather than the whole device, where that makes sense.

Hardware upgrades

Switching to an SSD or adding RAM often gives a computer a new lease of life. We tell you honestly when an upgrade is worth it and when replacement is better.

Software and firmware updates

We update operating systems, drivers, BIOS and firmware on servers, NAS devices, routers and switches. Updates close known security gaps and fix bugs.

UPS and power

We check the condition of UPS batteries and run a switchover test. We set up servers to shut down cleanly during a long power cut.

Printers and peripherals

Cleaning, adjustment and replacement of consumables and parts in printers and multifunction devices. We set up scan to folder or email so it works properly.

Equipment register

We record every device with its serial number, purchase date, warranty and repair history. This way you plan replacements and budget with real data.

Maintenance plan

A typical maintenance plan

The plan is adapted to your equipment. This is an example for an office with workstations, a server or NAS and network equipment.

How we work

How we organise maintenance

  1. Equipment inventory

We visit your premises and record all devices and their condition. We note anything that needs immediate attention.

  2. Plan and schedule

We define which tasks are done, how often and at what times. Tasks that interrupt work are scheduled outside business hours.

  3. Carrying out the work

Software checks are mostly done remotely and hardware work on site. Small repairs happen at your premises, larger ones at our workshop.

  4. Report

After every visit you receive a report on what was done and what we recommend. We never go ahead with a chargeable replacement without your approval.

  5. Annual review

Once a year we go through the register together and plan upgrades. This way you avoid last-minute purchases.

Are repairs done at our premises or at your workshop?
Most jobs, such as replacing a drive or memory, or changing settings, are done at your premises. If more extensive diagnostics are needed, we take the device to our workshop. For critical computers we can discuss a temporary replacement.
What happens to the data on the computer you are repairing?
Before any work on a drive we check that a backup exists. If a drive is replaced, we return it to you or destroy it with secure erasure, as you prefer.
Do you maintain equipment we did not buy from you?
Yes. We maintain equipment regardless of where it was bought. If the device is still under manufacturer warranty, we help you open a warranty claim.
When is it worth upgrading and when should I buy a new computer?
We look at the device's age, the processor, operating system support and the cost of parts. If the computer does not support Windows 11 or the processor is the bottleneck, we usually recommend replacement.
Do you maintain network equipment and cabling?
Yes. We update firmware on routers, switches and access points, review the logs and tidy the rack. For new cabling or network extensions, see our network installations page.
Can we combine maintenance with IT support?
Yes, and this is usually the most practical option. With a monthly support subscription, the scheduled maintenance tasks are built into the same plan.
Do you recycle old equipment?
We help you securely erase data from devices being retired. We then point you to a licensed electronic equipment recycler.
